What's up?

When you want someone to tell you about a problem, you can ask them: what's up?

Examples:

What's up? I came to your house to party and everybody is sitting around looking sad.

What's up with Lauren? She's been acting in a very strange way.

Take note

Don't confuse this expression with: what's your game? This phrase is used when you want to know what someone is planning secretly.

Example:

Come on, Anna - what's your game? You've been staying very late in the office when everybody's gone home.
